The restaurant is located in Cartoceto, in province of Pesaro, in the Marches. This year it has been regarded as one of the better 15 Italian restaurants from Gambero Rosso.

The Simposyum is situated in the open countryside, however it is easy to reach. It's also called Quattro Stagioni (Four Seasons) because it offers a faithful kitchen to the times of the territory and to its nature.

The philosophy that inspires the kitchen, headed from the chef Lucio Pompili, is the local and traditional one, though adapted to the taste of modern dietetic requirements. Lucio isn't only a very fine chef but he is also a searcher of excellent typical food.

The menus, proposed every day and characterized from great fantasy, are realized with great care.

Lucio's wife Cristina receives guests with great courtesy, toghether with the maitre-wine steward Lorenzo Vedovi.

The restaurant has deserved from year to year to appear at the top of the most prestigious food guides like Gambero Rosso, Michelin, Veronelli, Italian Academy of the Kitchen, Guide of the T.C.I. (Italian Touring Club), Unione Ristoranti del Buon Ricordo.

The kitchen is equipped with updated technologies, and allows to satisfact the most demanding event as well as to propose an express menu, like the current requirements demand.

The Symposium Four Seasons has a prestigious wine cellar with 60,000 bottles that represent more than 900 labels.

It is also possible to buy local specialties, such as the "Pecorino di Fossa" (Pit Cheese), cheese ripened in barrel with walnut leaves.
