Antonello
Colonna is an old established restaurant situated in Labico, a small
town near Rome.
In 1874 it was
already an inn run by the Colonna family, both for travellers and as a
place where horses could be changed for the last time before arriving in
Rome. Even then it was famous for the quality and abundance of its family
cooking.
In 1985 Antonello
Colonna changed the simple inn into a true restaurant that has kept all
its past traditions.
The traditional
Roman dishes, so popular with all travellers in the past, are still the
same but with a refined touch such as to adapt themselves to meet present
tastes and habits.Today "Antonello Colonna" is one of the best
italian restaurants, not only where people can eat delicious food but
above all a place where all customers are special guests in a pleasant and
relaxing atmosphere
Since
the academic year 1999-2000 Antonello Colonna has held the lessons
regarding restaurant management in the Luiss Managament University in Rome.
In
December 1999 it was founded the F.U.D. (Food Under Direction,
restauration everywhere), the catering sector that is interested in
special events, editorial research, marketing, image and communication
about food.
In
January 2000 Antonello Colonna was chef at the gala dinner held for the
inauguration of the new look for Termini Station in Rome, promoted by FS/Trenitalia
SpA and Grandi Stazioni SpA on the occasion of the Jubilee year.
Since
July 2000 Antonello Colonna has been chef at the Presidenza del Consiglio
dei Ministri in Palazzo Chigi in Rome: on 18th October 2000 he cooked for
Queen Elisabeth II.
