The Restaurant "Casa Vecia" was founded in december 1994 thanks to the efforts of four brothers: two professionals and two gourmets. 

The Restaurant is entirely family-run. In the kitchen: the Chefs Stefano and Andrea, serving at the tables: Nicola and Massimo. The Restaurant is a member of the Association of the "Jeunes Restaurateurs d'Europe", and recieved in the years 1996 to 1998 the "Oscar Qualitą-Prezzo" of the "Gambero Rosso" guide book, and since 1997 has been honoured with one star in the Michelin guide. 

The Restaurant's success is reflected in the daily presence of its discerning patrons, and to the number of invitations to participate in gastronomical exhibitions and happenings in Italy and abroad. 

"Casa Vecia" lies in the spa area of Abano Terme, of international fame, and therefore about half of the restaurant's patrons are non-italian, and the rest are partly local, partly from other italian regions. Along the tree-lined via Appia stands a gracious yellow villa with green shutters and comfortable rooms. The restaurant itself occupies three of these, one of which contains a fire-place and cottage-style wood pannelling. 

The atmosphere is all the more pleasant thanks to the warm colour of the table cloths and the burning candles on the tables. In the summer there is extra room in the garden, surrounded by laurus hedges, with tables screened off by flower arrangements that insure greater privacy among the patrons. 

It is preferable to book a table in advance since the reataurant can entertain a maximum of 30 patrons. For tables of more than 8 people, it is preferable to define the menu and to book at least 48 hours in advance. 

The Casa Vecia restaurant, due to its reduced size, is ideal for small busisness lunches, but it is possible to book the whole restaurant if necessary. For groups of more than ten people, personalized menus can be devised. Casa Vecia is also available for banquets and receptions in the outdoor part of the restaurant, for a maximum of 200 people. 

The location, the contents of the menu, the extras can all be customized to the taste and requirements of the patrons. The spirit of the restaurant is to offer warm hospitality, sober elegance, discretion, but above all the respect for the expectations of our patrons.
