The antique residence is in the Umbrian countryside along the hillside on the slopes of the Amerino Navarese-ridge, protected from the north winds, dominant on the hills that go down towards the Via Consolare Flaminia that links Rome to the antique Nequinium (today's Narni) and that allows to reach Rome in less than an hour. This is where the toponym "Costa Romana" comes from.

The 19th century building, built on antique medioeval preexistences, as testified by the beautiful squared rocks re-used in the masonry , has its origin for a large farmer-family in service of the lands of the Counts Mancinelli Scotti of S. Vito whose summer residence, called Palazzone (big palace - 18th century) stands out imponently on the hills before.

Today our house, recovered in its antique soul, thanks to its Padrona, furnished with antique furniture, has returned to life in order to give a moment of joy to the ones who aren't anymore used to stop for a while... and look around.

The "Podere Costa Romana" is in the geographical heart of Italy, in the country of Narni, not far from the "Marmore falls"; it's a comfortable and relaxing starting point for excursions in the main cities of art of Umbria, Lazio and Tuscany.

How to get there
Motorway A 1 Rome -Florence, exit Magliano- Sabina; at the exit of the motorway turn left in direction TERNI and go on for 13 km. At the yellow street sign "Benvenuti a Narni" turn right (in direction Narni) and go on for 1800 metres until you reach the street sign "Itieli", where you turn right and continue for other 800m. On your right-hand-side there is the entrance, a dirt road, of the farm "Costa Romana".
By train along the lines Ancona-Rome and Perugia-Rome (direct lines without changes) and Florance-Rome (change of Orte on a regional train) with stop at the station Narni- Amelia. You can reach the centre by public transport ( A. T. C .-bus, urban line) .

The closest international airport is Rome Fiumicino. Take the motorway Fiumicino- Rome in direction G.R.A. Once on the G.R.A. continue in direction Florence and follow the motorway until you reach the exit Magliano Sabina.
