Among the villas that one can catch a glimpse of,
Villa Dal Pozzo is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful and prestigious of those situated along the attractive and well-known Piedmont side. Now more than ever, its Victorian Age atmosphere remains intact. The furnishings, with pieces of furniture and paintings of great historical value dating back to the 15th and up to the 19th century, make it a Villa that is still very unique today, and above all has an abundance of
charm.
Given as a wedding gift in 1827 to Princess Luisa Dal Pozzo della Cisterna by her
husband, Ferdinando Arborio, Duke of Sartirana and Marquis of Bremè, who chose it as his lake residence, it still belongs today to the family of the Marquis Dal Pozzo d'Annone who continue to preserve its true
spirit.
Nowadays, it is a luxurious period residence
that, by wish of its owners who still reside there, is open within limits to a restricted number of
guests, who may enjoy the exclusiveness that this type of accommodation provides and above all may enjoy its relaxing peace and
quiet. Guests may choose among 6 suites with different
configurations, all of which overlook scenic Lake Maggiore, offering an unforgettable
view.
The Villa is open to guests from March to
October. The guest quarters of the Villa will remain open all year round.
The "18th Century Borgo of Villa Dal Pozzo", a fascinating and charming complex located within the park of the villa
itself, will be inaugurated in the near future and is expected to open in April 2003. The old homes of the
seamen, gardeners and the old wash-house, recently restored and returned to their age-old splendour will provide guests with 12 rooms with a breathtaking view of Lake Maggiore.
The Old 18th Century Borgo of the Villa will also have an inviting "Bistrot – Wine Bar", created in the old wine cellars of the
property, which were also restored recently, where several typical dishes of Piedmont cuisine such as cheeses and various kinds of cold meats and salami from the Ossola Valleys can be
sampled.
ROOMS AND SUITES
6 suites are set aside for guests. They are elegantly furnished with genuine period furniture, without neglecting modern day amenities, such as the telephone, fridge bar, satellite TV, and snack bar service.
The suites, like the bedrooms, open to guests, are all furnished with period furniture of great historical value. Each has its own bathroom with bathtub and shower and also modern day amenities such as telephone, fridge bar, satellite TV and private
