It has the appearance of a medieval building, with brick facework, merlons, vertical mullioned leaded glass windows, and frescoed coats of arms of the first "Capitani del Popolo"
(medieval magistrates).
The events witnessed by this medieval building over 8 centuries have left their mark in the rooms and halls with a charming mixture of styles which give the guest a real taste of
history. The breakfast hall with its stuccoes, skylight and large Murano glass

There are 43 rooms in all, including 8 junior suites and 1 large romantic suite on the top floor, with a mansard roof, accommodation for four people and a charming roof terrace. All the rooms are furnished in different styles and have air conditioning, minibar, telephone with external direct line, colour television with reception of foreign channels via satellite, and hair dryers. A number of rooms faces Piazza Grande on which there is the Town Hall, the Duomo (Cathedral), the Baptistery, the "Palazzo del Monte" and the "Palazzo delle Notarie". Other rooms overlook the Via Emilia or Piazza del Monte, others overlook the "Palazzo del Vescovado" and finally there are rooms which face the internal courtyard, without a particularly interesting view, but very
peaceful.

About thirty years ago the furniture and furnishings were transferred to the Hotel Posta bar lounge from the ancient "Premiata Pasticceria Nazzani", a famous confectioner's on the via Emilia, a few metres from the hotel.
It was a meeting place for Reggio's "aristocracy" (by blood, intellect or profession) at the end of the 19th century. A place of refined chatter, heated political debates, indiscretions and gallantry. In the Hotel Posta bar lounge, the guest today can still receive the traditional hospitality of times gone
by.

The Hotel Posta management is always happy to help the guest book a game of tennis or a round of golf in a nearby club, organise a visit to a production centre of the famous "Aceto Balsamico Tradizionale"
(Traditional Balsamic Vinegar) of Reggio Emilia, complete with tasting, without obviously forgetting a visit to a cheese factory, where the legendary Parmigiano Reggiano Cheese
(parmisan cheese) is produced. The guest should not miss an unforgettable visit to the secret parts of the Municipal
