In the late Eighteenth century it was a large sweets warehouse, and in the early 1800’s it was turned into a hotel called Hostaria; later on, whilst it remained in the possession of the same family, it became the elegant, refined 4-star
Hotel Giorgione. Its rating is particularly valued because despite its adaptation to the age of technology, it has remained firmly anchored to the tradition of those who have always wished it to be regarded as a welcoming home. It is personally run by the family that owns it. They are committed to the goal of making guests feel at home.
The common areas of the hotel offer: an Internet point, a billiards table and newspapers from various countries.
A typical Venetian court with a fountain allows our guests to enjoy breakfast with a varied open-air buffet or to spend a quiet candle-lit evening.
It is easy to reach the hotel’s three floors with our two modern lifts.
There is an icemaker, a shoeshine machine and clothes washing services available for our guests. Hot tea is offered every afternoon in the colder months whilst cold tea is offered in the summertime. Tea is served along with traditional Venetian sweets.
Our “honesty bar” is at your disposal just like the bar you have at home.
THE HOSTARIA - PUB/WINE SHOP
Managed separately, the Giorgione Hostaria is happy to welcome lovers of the local cuisine and wines. Several different specialities may be tasted here, prepared according to traditional Venetian recipes.
