2001 marks the beginning of a new chapter in the history of the HOTEL VILLA STEFANIA (formerly Hotel Schmieder). Owned and managed by Mary Ortner, from a hoteliers-family for many generations, the Hotel Villa Stefania is just a short walk from San Candido's central pedestrian area.
With 30 traditionally furnished rooms offering breathtaking views of the Dolomites, guests at Villa Stefania will once again enjoy superior comfort with a personal touch.
Located in one of the greenest and quietest corners of San Candido, the charming Hotel Villa Stefania welcomes guests into an atmosphere of understated elegance set amid sweeping
gardens.
The 30 spacious, sun-filled bedrooms and suites have been tastefully re-decorated and furnished. All have balconies with spectacular views of the Dolomites, feature private bath or shower and WC, hair dryer, telephone, safe, TV and mini-bar.

THE
RESTAURANT
Though immersed in a sophisticated new
environment, the restaurant maintains the highest standards.
Typical Tyrolean dishes firmly rooted in local traditions are occasionally given an innovative twist in a salute to modern tastes and
ingredients, always under the watchful eye of Chef de cuisine Giovanni. |
LEISURE
The HOTEL VILLA STEFANIA offers the deal backdrop for communing with nature and getting in a little (or a
lot) of your favourite sport. In winter, the ski-bus stops right in front of the hotel and there are cross skiing tracks within walking
distance. Room rates include access to the new sauna and the Acquafun center (public
indoor-swimmingpool). In summer: the bike track stretches all the way to Lienz (Austria) or you take some nature walks through surrounding woodland or on the
mountains.
