The Romantik Hotel Locanda dei Mai Intees is located in a beautiful medieval place which dominates the Lake of Varese with a splendid view of Monte Rosa and Lombard Pre-Alps. The hotel used to be an ancient century-seat dating back to the 1400 A.D. It has been converted into a luxury four-star hotel equipped with all comforts. Wonderful frescos dating back to the XV century came to light and the sixteenth century fireplace has been restored and returned to the large hall.
The tower, the courtyard with a well and the veranda keep the ancient charm. A meeting room connected to other supporting rooms completes the services offered by
Locanda dei Mai Intees. Furthermore the hotel is set in a favourable tourist position, in the middle of the lakes area (Lago Maggiore, Lago di Varese, Lago di Como) a few minutes from the centre of Varese, 45 Km from Milano, 40 Km from Lugano and, above all, only 25 Km from the new international airport Milano Malpensa and 20 Km from the Swiss Pass.
The seven rooms that overlook the quiet and secluded garden are furnished with original furniture and are individually named to give them a personal touch. They are spacious, warm, cosy and supplied to satisfy any modern requirements (air-conditioning, satellite TV, computer connection, fridge-bar, direct telephone line, hydromassage bath, sauna). Some of them have kept the ancient furnishings. The Tower suite is available for special events with its wonderful view of the lago di Varese and Monte Rosa.THE
