LES ECUREILS Azienda Agrituristica 11010 St. Pierre (AO) Located on a natural balcony at 1500 metres a.s.l., with a unique view on the valleys of the Gran Paradiso Park, the farm “Les Ecureuils” has carried out for more than 10 years exclusive farm-holidays activities, with a particular focus on quality and the surrounding environment.

The farm was built over a XVIth century building, that was totally restored, whose name in the local dialect is “mayen”, which means “in the middle” as, in the past, this was the stopping place in the spring for the herds that came up from the valley to the mountain pastures, the co-called “alpeggi”. The herds also used to stop here in autumn when, after a hundred days, at the first signs of winter, they set out again for the plain to spend the winter. Today, surrounded by the comforts available in our century, it is possible to live throughout the whole year at such altitudes (1500 m.) and everybody can enjoy the wonderful scenery of dawns and sunsets, sounds and colours, which is daily offered to us by the still free nature of the high Aosta valley. 

Accomodation

The farmhous has 4 double rooms  + 1 single room. 
Half board services are provided, and it is possible to taste home-made products: goat cheese, kids, goose hams, pâtč, fruit jams, cakes and home-made bread. 

The kitchen The farm is reported on some of the most important Gastronomic Guides, such as Gambero Rosso, Osterie d'Italia, Pirelli, Bell'Italia.    Les Ecureils is opened from 1st of  November to 6th January and from 1st March to 30th June.
