The farm
TRERE' was born in the early '60ies on the hills surrounding
Faenza, an
ancient village of 60.000 inhabitants well-known for its old
traditions in ceramics. The crafts of the “Maestri del fuoco” (the Kilnmasters) combine well
with the prosperous agricolture of Romagna that finds in wine-making the
perfect balance between art and technology. Some of our wines are in fact
available sealed in beautiful flasks of Faenza majolica.
Now the farm is surrounded by 34 hectares of land grown almost exclusively with
grapes. They make several wines and their constant aim is to improve the quality and to cultivate
the image, now that wines from Romagna are known and appreciated all over the world.
Three years ago an holiday-farm
was builtin in order to improve the farm image and to make the hills and the
wines known. They renovated the old colonial house and they got four rooms, while the stables were turned into a restaurant.
Now they are building a cellar to age the wines which will be finished soon.
The farm also houses a small museum exhibiting old wine-making and agrigultural
implements.
The farm is conveniently located for visiting the art cities of Faenza (6 Km) and Ravenna (30 Km). Various leisure activities are possible within easy reach of the estate such as rambling, tennis cycling and motocross.
About 10 Km away is the medieval town of Brisighella, the Carnè natural park and the unique Vena del Gesso
(Gypsum Vein). The thermal spa of Riolo Terme is just 6 Km away. It has a swimming pool and an 18 hole golf course. Imola, renowned for its Formula 1
racing, is 10 Km away, whilst at a distance of 35-50 Km you can reach the Adriatic coastal resorts of Milano Marittima, Cervia, Rimini and Riccione .
