From our 7 ha (7000 square meter) large terrain one can enjoy a wonderful view over the Gulf of Velia and the excavations of the antique city Elea (Velia). The majority of labor is turned towards farming in this area and our harvest provides the food source for the guest in our restaurant. Visitors that are interested beyond the sleeping accommodations and food are also offered an inside look into our operation. 

Guests can follow us and watch our daily procedures, where we milk cows by hand and harvest the fruit and vegetables of the particular season. Especial attention deserves the wine vintage and the olive harvest. We offer our guests the opportunity to enjoy revitalization and an unforgettable stay in our family business and to take pleasure from the county typical cuisine. 

HOSPITALITIES 

The Azienda consists of several central buildings including a small and cozy dining room with fireplace on the first floor. On the second floor one can find a guestroom. There is also a wooden oven where different pastry and our delicious house bread are baked. Furthermore, one can find the barbecue where we grill our meat. 
Outside is a beautiful garden structure with patios. During the warm season this is an ideal place for our guests to sit under Pergolas and enjoy their meal and the gorgeous view onto the sea and the Gulf of Velia. 
All our guestrooms are located in the southwest direction and therefore they offer great panoramically views of the sea. The rooms are comfortable and are set up very cozy. All have large bathrooms and heaters as well as patios. For the convenience of our guest we also can offer parking spaces for their cars. 

Casal Velino is a community in the heart of the national parks Cilento and Vallo Di Diano. The main village lies on top of the green hills in the Gulf of Velia and it is surrounded by the green of olive groves. The Marina is on the foot of the hill on a beautiful 5 km (3.1 miles) large sandy beach, which also has a small fishing and yacht harbor. This is also the place where one can take small excursion boats that go to the grottos by the cap of Plainer, to the marine water park of Punt Lycos, to the Almalfi coast and to the island of Capri. At the piers fishermen offer their catch to the interested buyer. The small village Acquvella, which is in the countryside, invites the visitor to wander in its small alleys, angles and piazzas. From our Anzienda the visitor can go on hiking trips that lead through small roads, fields and over hills and offer a great view into the fantastic nature of the national parks. Especially memorable are the festivities of the patrons that are celebrated according to old traditions and that have a great folkloristic appeal. We also have a small local history museum on the farming culture of Casal Velino. 

THE PRODUCTS

The Wines:: 
We win our red wines from the grapes of the Sangiovese vine and the white wines come from the grapes of the Trebbiano vine. 

The Olive Oil: 
We obtain our extra virgin olive oil according to traditional methods of pressing the olives in our stone mill. 

The flour products: 
We grind all flour products from different grains that grow in the Azienda. 

The corn: 
Majority, the corn serves in its whole form as food for our animals on the farm. 

From our vegetable garden: 
The most important vegetables are the tomatoes that we process into canned food. Also important are the peppers and the eggplants that are canned in olive oil. Other significant vegetables are the pumpkins, zucchinis, white and green beans, water and honey melons, cabbage, broccoli and various varieties of pulses. 

The milk products: 
We produce a variety of cheeses from cow and goat milk. 

Besides the vegetable production we are also busy with the cultivation of fruit in our Anzienda. Especially noteworthy is the farming of figs, a special kind of the Cilento, that can be eaten either fresh or sun dried.
